Eligibility Requirements of Montenegro Citizenship-by-Investment

To qualify for the Montenegrin golden visa, candidates must:

  • Make an investment of EUR 250,000 in one of the real estate projects approved by the government of Montenegro. This investment must be in an undeveloped area.
  • Or, make an investment EUR 450,000 in a government approved real estate project in a developed region.
  • Make a non-refundable contribution of €100,000 in the form of a government fund donation. The contribution applies to both options.
  • Be over 18 years of age,
  • The applicant must also deposit 15,000 euros for an application for themselves, 10,000 euros for up to 4 family members, and 50,000 euros for each next family member.

Step 1# Document Preparation

Arrange supporting documents and prepare the application file

Step 2# Processing of Application

Submit the citizenship application. In this stage, the government officials in Montenegro will perform the due diligence checks and verify your source of funds for the Montenegro business visa.

Step 3# Compliance

If everything goes well with your documents and the approval is granted, you can contribute to the Government fund and invest in an approved project.  A citizenship certificate will be issued to the applicant.

Step 4# Travel to Montenegro

The applicant may now travel to Montenegro with their family members.

The entire process will take around six months to complete.
